Today you will explore using technology and go on a photo scavenger hunt! This can be done anywhere using a device that can take photos, such as a phone or camera.
Activity best for children ages 2 and up
Materials
- Device that takes photos
- Photo Scavenger Hunt Sheet (see below)
Directions - Toddlers
Step 1
Print or create your own photo scavenger hunt sheet.
Step 2
Practice using your camera. How do you take a photo? How do you zoom in and out?
Step 3
Take photos of everything on your scavenger hunt sheet and check them off as you go!
Directions - Preschoolers and Up
Step 1
Talk about what a photographer does and why their job is important.
Step 2
Print or create your own photo scavenger hunt sheet.
Step 3
Practice using your camera. How does it zoom in and out? How do you use the flash? Does it have any other features such as filters or special modes?
Step 3
Take photos of everything on your scavenger hunt sheet and check them off as you go!
Bonus 1
Make it a race! Who can complete their photo scavenger hunt first?
Bonus 2
Try adding some outdoor elements to your photo scavenger hunt and go outside!
