Spend the summer exploring with San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum! Each week of camp includes access to Museum exhibits, hands-on exploration, and an opportunity to adventure through exciting themes and activities with new friends.

  • Maximum capacity to ensure a safe and educational experience: 20
  • Full-week sign-ups only. Registration closes two weeks prior to camp start date.

Robotics & Coding

Engineers are problem solvers! Explore the world of software and computer engineers while practicing your problem-solving skills through various coding challenges.

June 24 – June 28

Crafty Chemistry

Discover how art and chemistry go hand in hand. Experiment with color mixing, temperature changes, and other ways to mix art and chemistry.

July 1 – July 3

Aventuras Agrícolas – Spanish Bilingual Camp

Go on an agriculture adventure while learning about the important role of farmers, farm animals, and fruits and vegetables through hands-on activities in a bilingual emergent setting.

July 8 – July 12

Outer Space Odyssey

Get your jet packs ready and join us for a week of fun that is out of this world! Learn about astronauts, travel among the stars, and explore new planets.

July 15 – July 19

Under the Sea

Dive right in and join us for a week of ocean exploration. Explore our ocean’s layers, creatures living in the dark, and learn about ways to help protect the sea.

July 22 – July 26

Dinosaur Discovery

Become a paleontologist by exploring fossils, dinosaurs, and more through hands-on exploration.

July 29 – August 2

Invention Investigators

Put your detective cap on and get ready to problem-solve! Explore creative thinking, learn all about inventions we see every day, and get hands-on with the engineering process.

CAMP ITINERARY

  • 9:00-9:15 Drop-off

  • 9:15-9:30 Welcome to Camp

  • 9:30-10:00 Introduction to daily themes + Storytime

  • 10:00-10:45 Museum Exploration*

  • 10:45-11:00 Snack time**

  • 11:00-11:30 Hands-on Science/Engineering Activity

  • 11:30-12:00 Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) Activities: campers can choose from different hands-on activities based on their interest.

  • 12:00-12:45 Lunch**

  • 12:45-1:15 Museum Exploration*

  • 1:15-1:45 Hands-on Art Activity

  • 1:45-2:00 Closing Storytime and Dismissal

*Campers will enjoy indoor and outdoor museum exploration each day
**Campers are required to bring their own (peanut-free) snacks and lunches. Snacks and lunches will be eaten in the Indoor Classroom.
