STREAM Activity: Astronaut Pudding

Eat pudding just like an astronaut!
Activity best for children ages 4 and up

Have you ever wondered what astronaut food tastes like? In today’s blog, we will create a special treat- astronaut pudding! This is a fun way to demonstrate the challenges of living and working in space, where everything must be brought aboard a space capsule. All foods eaten in space must be freeze-dried or dehydrated in pouches. Dehydrating means to take the water out of something. Because water is heavy, they can haul more dehydrated foods to space than they could everyday foods. Grab your ingredients, and let’s get started on this out-of-this-world recipe!
