Father’s Day is a special day celebrated to honor fathers and father figures for their love, support, and guidance. Let’s show our appreciation for them by making a trophy with materials found at home!

  • How can we meaningfully celebrate Father’s Day by recognizing and honoring all types of paternal figures in our lives?

MATERIALS

  • Scissors
  • Tape or Glue
  • Black marker
  • Tin foil
  • 1-2 pipe cleaners
  • Two paper cups
  • Washi tape (optional)

DIRECTIONS

STEP 1

Start by gathering the materials for your Father’s Day trophy.

STEP 2

Next, grab your two paper cups and wrap them in tin foil.

Now, glue or tape the bottom of the cups together to make a trophy shape.

STEP 4

Time to decorate your trophy! You can add as much color as you would like. We used washi tape to decorate our trophy.

STEP 5

Let’s add the handles! Grab a pipe cleaner and cut it in half. Then, tape one end of the pipe cleaner to the top cup and the other to the bottom cup.

STEP 6

To finish off your trophy, write the name of the father figure you want to gift this trophy to. You could write “#1 Grandpa” or “Best Uncle”. The options are endless!
